Shopped the House and Made some Progress

Until recently I had overlooked our master bath for anything other than the occasional scrubbing (ha!) and a few candles for *ahem* ambiance. But I really wanted to spruce it up a bit so I "shopped the house" and enlisted the help of my dad to hang some shelves that were originally in my son's room. (It had a nautical theme when he was younger but we're moving on to trains so it just didn't need sea shells and boats anymore.)
Sorry no before pics.

I realize now that unless the other guest bathroom is full; no one but my family will ever see these behind the door....but I'm happy with it...and I even got a compliment from my husband! (This should go in a "Dan Speak post" After seeing the shelves: "Honey, I'm beginning to think you know what you're doing with all this decorating stuff." Oh, thanks, dear!)
I made these canisters by spray painting the lids of cheap ones from Hobby Lobby black and then adhering the finials with E600 glue. The finials are from the dollar store! Sweet! And I plan on making my own bath salts to put in the empty canister. (Yeah...some day!)
My dilemma is this: Do I even bother putting up a window treatment? The window is frosted....but I like the idea of softening up the space with something. What do you think?

Jen, I think it looks great. :) I love the shelves and the canisters were a great idea. I do think that a mistreatment (check out The Nester) would soften the window up.

Thanks for linking up! Have fun "mingling". :)

This looks great!! I have to vote for window treatments... nothing softens a space like some lovely curtains! Good luck!

Love the jars on the shelf! What about hanging just a small window scarf - something to pull in some color. Very nice!
